Manuelmony Matriculation Higher Secondary School was established in the year 1973 with a profound and heartfelt vision — to offer quality convent education to children from poor and underprivileged backgrounds, who might otherwise not have access to such opportunities.
The founder, Mr. J. Manuelmony, a man of deep faith and compassion, laid the cornerstone of what was then known as Elshadai English School with just 30 students and a single-minded dedication to uplift the community through education.
Despite limited resources in the beginning, the school quickly gained a reputation for academic rigor, moral values, and discipline — all rooted in Christian principles and a strong sense of social responsibility.
After the sudden passing of Mr. J. Manuelmony in 1980, the school was renamed Manuelmony Matriculation Higher Secondary School as a tribute to his vision and life's work. To ensure the continued growth and sustainability of the institution, the Manuelmony Educational Society was formed. This governing body has since played a pivotal role in strengthening the school's infrastructure, curriculum, and community engagement.
Today, the school is led by Mr. M.R.J. Muller, son of the founder, who has taken forward his father's mission with unwavering dedication and integrity. Under his dynamic leadership, the institution has grown exponentially — now serving over 1,400 students across various academic levels.
Mr. Muller's approach combines modern educational practices with the timeless values of compassion, service, and excellence. His leadership ensures that each student receives not only academic instruction but also moral guidance, personal attention, and encouragement to grow into a responsible citizen.
